Description: "W-A-T-ER" is a story for children about the importance of drinking water. It was created for kids to learn about drinking water and the health benefits of drinking water. Follow a young child into the kitchen to get a cup of tap water, complete with 3 ice cubes and a red-striped straw! This is followed by a few health facts about water like water is healthy for you and water helps your brain. Then I list 12 other ways to drink your water.
These include lemon water with a lemon slice, lime water, bottled water, tap water with no ice, waterfountain, water cooler, and a squirt bottle.
One of the goals of this book is to help fight childhood obesity. Obesity amongst kids is a big problem in the USA. Drinking water instead of sugary drinks like soda pop and Koolaid is one way I hope to encourage kids to live healthier lives. Also with physical fitness, drinking water is an important way of keeping kids fit. After alot of exercise, it is important to drink your water.
We are currently trying to get this book published. Final versions will have illustrations instead of photos at the end.
